Save Water and Improve Your Lawn!!
For those members that have a lawn, one of the best ways to keep it healthy is to have it aerated. Aeration helps to reduce soil compaction and allows better penetration of water. This helps reduce water runoff. FLWMC has contacted someone who has done aeration for members in the past and has worked out a reduced fee. His fee is $30 for about 3600 square feet of lawn. This is a great deal – it costs at least this must just to rent an aerator. Aeration should be done before the hot weather arrives – by the end of May.

If you are interested, contact Jason Pickett at (408) 426-1806 to schedule your aeration. Mention Walden Woods of Granite Bay.

Landscape Watering!!
The rainy season is about to come to an end and demand for water is going to increase. Please ensure outdoor watering controllers and sprinklers are set for optimal usage. Make sure that water does not run into the street. A wealth of information on watering is available on the World Wide Web. Check out ‘www.lawncare.com’ and ‘www.allaboutlawns.com’ for information on watering and care for lawns, trees, and shrubs.
